Jean-Ronald LaFond - Artistic Director

Jean-Ronald LaFond began his career as a baritone and has appeared with orchestras and opera houses internationally. He makes his farewell to the baritone repertoire in BIO’s current season and will make his debut in the Heldentenor Fach as Canio in Pagliacci in October 2008. As a conductor he last appeared with the Clifford Brown Jazz Festival Orchestra in Duke Ellington’s Sacred Concerts. As a stage director he last staged BIO’s Don Giovanni and is the director for Macbeth in March.  Dr. LaFond has taught voice in several universities in the United States. He currently teaches between New York and Berlin.
